Judge Ben U. Allen Presides Over Session Of Warren Court Judge Ben U. Allen of Hender son presided over the Feb. 12 ses sion of Warren County District Court, disposing of the following cases: Eddie E. Alston, com municating threats, ordered to jail for six months, with the sheriff given authorization to release the defendant af 'iy time he is in a sober and tugiuzant con dition to go home or to go to John Umstead Hospital and also to place the defendant back into custody at any time during the six months. Glenn Baxter, unsafe move ment, called and failed, Arron Bernard Bell, assault on a female, not guilty, court found the prosecuting witness guilty of false and frivilous prosecution and ordered her into custody un til she pays a $25 fine and court costs; larceny from the person, entered a plea of guilty of misde meanor larceny, ordered to jail for two days. Richard A. Berry, speeding 67 in 55 mph zone and no driver's license, called and failed. Joseph Bryant, obtaining pro perty under false pretense, entered a plea of guilty of com mon law forgery, ordered to prison for a period of not less than 18 months nor more than 24 mpnths, ser^enc<*susper.ded and defendant placed on supervised probation for two years upon con dition that he serve 35 days active in prison, and pay court costs and $80 restitution to A & P Food Store. Jimmy Colter, damage to real property, ordered to jail for 90 days, sentence suspended upon condition that the defendant pay a $10 fine and court costs and that he cause repairs to be made to the property to put it in as good or better condition than it was. Albert Nathaniel Davis, ex pired registration card/tag, dismissed by the prosecutor. Plummer Fields, failure to work after paid, not guilty. Alex Francis, child abuse, prayer for judgment continued upon payment of court costs. Thomas McCoy Hargrove, stop sign violation, called and failed, arrest order issued, bond set at $200. Bobby S. Hughes, Jr., speeding faster than reasonable, called and failed, arrest order outstanding. Sheryl Diann King, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Anthony Lynch, assault on a female, called and failed, order of forfeiture and arrest order issued, bond set at $600. Michael Paul Manlapas, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, entered a plea of guilty of ex ceeding safe speed, ordered to pay a $15 fine and court costs. Frances Lynn McMillan, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Rachel Fox Palmer, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, defendant, in absentia through counsel, entered a plea of guilty of speeding 64 in 55 mph zone, ordered to pay a $15 fine and court costs. Tinny Diane Perry, speeding 45 in 35 mph zone, found guilty of ex ceeding the posted speed limit, ordered to pay court costs. James Rawlings, com municating threats, court ordered the case dismissed for failure of the prosecuting witness to appear. Emma Richardson, two counts of worthless check, called and failed, arrest order issued, bond set at |200. Silvestre M. Rodriguez, no driver's license, called and failed, arrest order returned unserved. West Junior Seward, stop sign violation, called and failed, dismissed with leave by the prosecutor. James Hunter Sutton, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, defendant, through counsel, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in district court and was ordered to appear before the next criminal session of Warren County Superior Court to answer said charge, continuing bond to re main in effect. Curtis Walker, no driver's license, not guilty. Merritha Eve Williams, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, arrest order outstanding. An absolute divorce was granted in the case of Dorothy J. Mackie vs. John Mackie. An absolute divorce was granted in the case of Thomas Edward Clary vs. Janice Lynn Clary.
