Judge Senter Presides Over Warren Court Session
Judge J. Larry Senter of
Franklinton presided over the
March 26 session of Warren
County District Court, disposing
of the following cases:
Toni Lxitrina Allen, no driver's
license and driving left of center,
ordered to pay a $75 fine and
court costs and reimburse the
State the sum of $200 for attorney
fees; driving while impaired and
operating a motor vehicle
without financial responsibility,
motion to dismiss at the close of
State's evidence allowed.
Noel Christopher Bailey, un
safe tires, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Douglas Alexander Brown,
driving while unpaired, motion to
dismiss at the close of State's
evidence allowed.
George Bullock, Jr., no driver's
license, called and failed, arrest
order returned unserved.
Sandra Jones Bullock, speed
ing 70 in 55 mph zone, called and
failed, arrest order returned
unserved.
Kenneth Wayne Champion,
stop sign violation, dismissed by
the prosecutor.
Walter Crews, Jr., assault/af
fray, ordered to jail for not less
than four days nor more than five
days, defendant to be given credit
for time served.
Hazel Richardson Dale, shop
lifting/concealment of goods,
ordered to jail for 30 days,
sentence suspended upon condi
tion that the defendant pay a $25
fine and court costs, reimburse
the State $150 for attorney tees
and remain off the premises of
the A & P store during the period
of suspension.
Alton Lee Alston, no driver's
license and driving left of center,
ordered to jail for 60 days,
sentence to run concurrently with
charge of driving while impaired
for which defendant was sen
tenced to prison for not less than
12 months nor more than 15
months.
Ivory Ben Davis, driving left of
center and failure to heed light
siren, dismissed by the pro
secutor; driving while impaired,
ordered to prison for not less than
eight months nor more than nine
months, said sentence to run con
currently with any and all
sentences now serving.
Thomas Paul Dewitt, speeding
70 in 55 mph zone, called and
failed, arrest order issued, bond
set at $100.
Robert Henry Duffeck,
speeding 70 in 55 mph zone,
entered a plea of guilty of ex
ceeding safe speed, ordered to
pay a $5 fine and court costs.
Ronnie EgerR.., red light viola
tion, called and failed, arrest
order issued, bond set at $100.
Dwight Elam, worthless check,
ordered to jail for 60 days,
sentence suspended upon condi
tion that the defendant pay a $100
fine and court costs and pay to
the Clerk of Superior Court the
sum of $1,525 for the use and
benefit of Willoughby Harris.
Keith Falcon, unauthorized use
of motor vehicle, dismissed by
the prosecutor.
Jan Grzelak, Jr., unsafe move
ment, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Ronald Wayne Guill, larceny
and breaking and/or entering,
defendant, through counsel,
waived his right to a preliminary
hearing in district court and was
ordered to appear before the next
criminal session of Warren Coun
ty Superior Court to answer said
charge, bond set at $500.
Kimberly Hargrove, assault
affray, ordered to pay a $20 fine
and court costs.
Donald Ray Harrison, driving
while impaired, called and failed,
arrest order issued, bond set at
$300.
Tony Joseph Henderson,
speeding 70 in 55 mph zone,
called and failed, arrest order
returned unserved.
Kimberly Hindricks, non
support of child, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Earnest Lee Howard, red light
violation, called and failed, ar
rest order issued, bond set at
$100.
Earnest C. Jefferson, driving
while license permanently re
voked, called and failed, dis
missed with leave by the
prosecutor.
David E. Johnson, speeding 70
in 55 mph zone, called and failed.
Randy Steve Johnson, fire
lighting deer, ordered to pay a
$250 fine and court costs; defen
dant, through counsel, gave no
tice of appeal to the next criminal
session of Warren County Super
ior Court, continuing bond to re
main in effect.
Bert Jones, speeding 70 in 55
mph zone, called and failed.
Doris Davis Kearney, four
counts of worthless check,
ordered to prison for 30 days in
quarters provided for women
prisoners, sentence suspended
upon condition the defendant pay
a $100 fine and court costs in each
case and pay the sum of $35
restitution to R & H Service
Center, $140.80 to Schewell Fur
niture, and $10 and $20 to A & P,
and that she reimburse the state
of North Carolina the sum of $200
for attorney fees. On two addi
tional charges of worthless
check, the defendant was ordered
to prison in quarters provided for
women for five months, sentence
suspended upon condition she pay
a $25 fine and court costs and pay
$31.76 and $82.39 restitution to
Clover Farms. On two further
charges of worthless check, the
defendant was ordered to prison
in women's quarters for five
months, to begin at the expiration
of the sentence previously im
posed, sentence suspended upon
condition that the defendant pay
a $25 fine and court costs in each
case and pay the sum of $15
restitution to Campbell's Grocery
and $25 to Three Points Station.
The defendant, through counsel,
gave notice of appeal on all
judgments to the next criminal
session of Warren County
Superior Court, continuing bond
to remain in effect.
Julius Kearney, violation of
court order, called and failed, ar
rest order issued, bond set at
$500.
Wallace H. Lee, firelighting
deer, ordered to pay a $250 fine
and court costs; court further
ordered that the .22 rifle be
returned to the defendant and
that the .44 be retained by the of
ficer until proof of ownership is
produced by Tene Lynch; defen
dant, through counsel, gave
notice of appeal to the next
criminal session of Warren Coun
ty Superior Court, continuing
bond to remain in effect.
Richard Darnell Lewis,
speeding 70 in 55 mph zone,
called and failed, dismissed with
leave by the prosecutor.
William N. Locklear, unsafe
movement, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Anthony Lynch, assault on a
female, ordered to prison for not
less than seven months nor more
than eight months, sentence
suspended for three years upon
condition that the defendant not
assault Laura Lynch during the
period of suspension and pay a
$25 fine and court costs.
Robert Marks, Jr., speeding 70
in 55 mph zone, called and failed.
John Wayne Mayfield,
speeding 70 in 55 mph zone,
dismissed by the prosecutor;
driving while impaired, ordered
to jail for not less than 30 days nor
more than 60 days, sentence
suspended upon condition that
the defendant pay a $75 fine and
court costs, surrender license and
not operate a motor vehicle on
the highways of N.C. except as
may be allowed in a limited driv
ing privilege, complete 24 hours
of community service and pay
the $50 fee and complete the
Alcohol and Drug Education
Traffic School and pay the $50
fee.
Virginia J. Mewborne,
speeding 67 in 55 mph zone,
entered a plea of guilty of
speeding 64 in 55 mph zone,
ordered to pay a $5 fine and court
costs.
Philip Roger Miller, speeding
86 in 55 mph zone, entered a plea
of guilty of careless and reckless
driving, ordered to pay a $50 fine
and court costs; failure to heed
light siren, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Robert Walter Moore, no
driver's license, called and
failed, arrest order issued, bond
set at $50.
James Allen Neal, driving
while impaired, ordered to jail
for 30 days, sentence suspended
upon condition that the defendant
pay a $75 fine and court costs,
surrender license and not operate
a motor vehicle on the highways
of N.C. except as allowed in a
limited driving privilege, com
plete 24 hours of community ser
vice and pay the $50 fee and com
plete the Alcohol and Drug
Education Traffic School and pay
the $50 fee.
Zelmore Perry, two counts of
assault by pointing a gun and one
count of assault with a deadly
weapon, motion to dismiss al
lowed; assault and battery,
prayer for judgment continued
upon payment of court costs and
upon the condition the defendant
not bother the prosecuting
witnesses.
Norfleet S. Person, no driver's
license and driving under the in
fluence of alcoholic beverage,
dismissed by the prosecutor.
Harry Augusta Pugh, unsafe
movement, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Exson Richardson, speeding 68
in 55 mph zone, entered a plea of
guilty of exceeding safe speed,
prayer for judgment continued
upon payment of court costs.
James Troy Richardson, stop
sign violation, called and failed,
arrest order returned unserved.
Patricia Richardson, non
support of child, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Carl Robinson, violation of

George Washington Shaw, no

Paul Short, hit-run unattended
vehicle and two counts of injury
to personal property, dismissed
by the prosecutor; endangering
reckless driving, ordered to pay

Ace Silver, assault and battery,
court found the prosecuting
witness guilty of false and
frivilous prosecution and ordered
that he pay court costs; en
dangering reckless driving and
driving while impaired, dis
missed by the prosecutor.

threats, dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Lawrence Strum, driving while
impaired, ordered to jail for not
less than 30 days nor more than
60 days, sentence suspended upon
condition that the defendant pay
a $75 fine and court costs, com
plete 24 hours of community ser
vice and pay the $50 fee, complete
the Alcohol and Drug Education
Traffic School and pay the $50 fee
and not operate a motor vehicle
on the highways of N.C. until
allowed by the Department of
Motor Vehicles; defendant gave
notice of appeal to Superior
Court, bond set at $200.
