Births Dr. and Mrs. Richard Keltie of Raleigh announce the birth of a son, William Turner, on Nov. 6 in Rex Hospital in Raleigh. The in fant weighed seven pounds, seven ounces. Mrs. Keltie is the former Laura Turner of Warrenton. The mater nal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Turner of Warrenton. The paternal grandmother is Mrs. Marie Keltie of Alexandria, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kearney announce the birth of a son, Charles Aundrey LaCarlos Kearney, Jr., cm July 10 at Taylor General Hospital in Macon, Ga. The infant is the grandson of Mrs. Luvenia Kearney of Macon. The maternal great-grandparents are the late John and Dorothy Milam of Macon. The paternal great grandparents are Vernon and Katie Kearney of Warrenton. The family resides in Fort Hood, Tex. Arrives For Duty Air Force Airman 1st Class Roland Taylor, son of Marie Taylor of Warrenton, has ar rived for duty with the 317th Supply Squadron, Pope Air Force Base. Steven King began his duties as pastor of Macon Baptist Church Oct. 1. He is a second-semester student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest. The Rev. Mr. King was ordained Oct. 19 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Youngsville by the Rev. Jerry Gray and a former pastor. His wife, Paula, is a teacher at Eaton Johnson Junior High School in Henderson. They have two children, Wendy and Beth. Work Accepted For Raleigh Event "Winston's Woods," a gouache and watercolor landscape paint ing by local artist Dianne T. Rodwell, has been accepted for the grand opening exhibition of Artspace in Raleigh. Artspace, Inc., a non-profit arts organization, has brought together individuals, corpora tions, foundations and govern ments to establish a community arts center for visual and per forming artists in downtown Raleigh. The center occupies the former Sanders Ford building which has been completely renovated to in clude an exhibition gallery and a number of studios. A restaurant and live theater are also planned. Mrs. Rodwell's entry is part of a juried exhibition entitled "New Work." All works in the exhibi tion are by Artspace artists and have not been shown before. The public is invited to the grand opening celebration of Art space on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. The grand opening celebration will afford opportunity to observe artists at work in the studios. Tours, performances, demon strations and refreshments are included in the day's offerings. The "New Work" exhibition will continue through Jan. 10. In any two-week period of 1981, 56 percent of all American families had baked a pie, cake or cookies.
