Rain, Rain, go away and come
again another day!
Everyone is so tired of staying
inside that we are certainly glad
to see the sunshine this morning.
Our Easter Sunday was ruined
because it was too rainy to have
our Easter Egg Hunt this year.
We had a lot of visitors. Some
of the residents went home for the
day and some went to spend a
week or so.
We want to thank Mrs. Henry
P uller and the Home Life Depart
ment of the Macon Woman's Club
for the bags of goodies that they
sent. They were given out on
Easter Sunday with punch and
everyone really enjoyed them.
These ladies never forget a
holiday.
I want to let our readers know
that I am going to resign and go
on disability due to a lot of health
problems. I want to thank every
one who has been such a help to
us over the years. You have
made our job a lot easier.
I will still be doing the articles
each week, but I will be doing
them from my home. I will still
be living here and acting as an
advisor. I will be in the rest home
from time to time just to visit. My
years with Warren Plaza have
been very good ones, but due to
some severe health problems, I
am going to concentrate on try
ing to get well for a while.
We are doing a lot of remodel
ing and painting at the rest home
and ask everyone to bear with us
until we are through. This is like
a spring cleaning, so everything
is out of place right now, but
everything will be back to normal
in a little while.
We want to thank the following
people for donating clothes and
shoes: Warrenton Baptist Church
and Ms. Emily Johnson, Jack
Groves, Mrs. Wayne Temple and
the Lake Gaston Baptist Church
and Ms. Lucy Leonard. These
donations help make sure that
our residents have the clothes
they need.
Over the years, your donations
have made a big difference to all
of our residents in their having
decent clothes. There is still
always the need for underclothes
and shoes. So, when you are do
ing your spring cleaning, please
remember us.
We want to thank the Lake
Gaston Baptist Church for con
ducting our Easter Sunday ser
vice. They have been coming for
several months now and the
residents look forward to them
each week. Ms. Mary Frances
little comes to visit real often, in
addition to playing each Sunday
morning and is loved by all of the
residents.
Until next week, God Bless.
