Summer Fun Day Set "A Day of Summer Fun at King's Dominion" was the main discussion of the Best Better 4-H Club at its regular meeting held on June 22 at 7 p.m. at Mariam Boyd School. A chartered bus for the trip in Virginia will leave the Warren County Agricultural Bldg. at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 3, and will return at 9 p.m. Space for the trip will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis at a cost of $26, which covers transportation and the admission fee to King's Dominion. Engaged Couple Feted At Cookout A cookout honoring Kim Smith and Jeff Fleming was held Saturday, June 20, at the home of Jerome and Rose Jackson in Middleburg. Entertaining with the Jacksons were Glenn and Dawn Coleman, Chuck and Geri Curtis, Sidney and Ann Fleming, Eddie and Edith Hurdle, Duke and Edith Mabry, and Millard and Becky Paschall. Upon arrival the honoree was presented a corsage of miniature pink carnations and baby's breath tied with pink rib bon. The couple was remem bered with a natural wicker pic nic basket lined with blue and white checked gingham. After a social hour guests were served barbecued chicken, boiled potatoes, slaw, bread, pound cake, brownies and iced tea. Tables, covered with white cloths, held pink begonias in white baskets. There were approximately 75 guests in attendance. Special guests were Dot Smith and Ann Fleming, mothers of the pro spective bride and groom. The Fleming-Smith wedding will be an event of August 1 in Dunwoody, Ga.
