to his automobile, and not be found
guilty of any offenses in N.C. during
the period of suspension. Defendant
allowed four weeks to comply. A
charge of intoxicated and disruptive
was heard; defendant ordered to pay
court costs, allowed six weeks to
comply.
James B. Richardson, assault wiUi
a deadly weapon; defendant con
fined in the N. C. Department of Cor
rection for 18 months. It is recom
mended that he be given treatment
for control of substance dependency
in that from all the evidence heard
this man drinks alcohol to an extant
that he doea not comprehend his ac
tions; defendant gave notice of appeal
to the next session of Warren County
Superior Court.

in 56 mph zone; found guilty of ex
ceeding a safe speed, ordered to pay
the costs of court.
Deborah Davis Ross, speeding 78 in
65 mph zone; found guilty of speeding
69 in 65 mph zone, ordered to pay a
fine of )1S and court costs.
David L. Rowlette, speeding 66 in
55 mph zone; 20 day failure.
Clarissa Q. Russell, driving while
impaired; ordered confined in the
Warren County Jail for a term of 40
days. Sentence suspended and de

dismissal.

quarters assigned for women for not
less than nor more than five months.
Sentence suspended for three years;
defendant not be found guilty of
operating a motor vehicle without a
valid license during the period of
suspension, ordered to pay a fine of
$200 and court costs.

impaired; called and failed, order of
arrest issued and bond ordered
forfeited.
Catherine D. Vaughan, speeding 70
in 55 mph zone; prayer for judgment

Richard Watkins, speeding 67 in 55
mph zone ; found guilty of speeding 60

Cleveland Watson, assault on a
female; voluntary dismissal.
Cleveland G. Watson, driving while
license revoked; ordered confined in
the N. C. Department of Correction
for a period of 12 months. Court
recommended that the defendant be
given treatment for substance abuse
or alcohol dependency. A charge of
driving while impaired was heard;
defendant ordered confined in the
N. C. Department of Correction for
two years. Charges of unsafe move
ment, driving while impaired and
driving while license permanently
revoked were dismissed by the
prosecutor.
Tommy West, Jr., speeding 78 in 55
mph zone; voluntary dismissal.
Charges of reckless driving/en
dangering and larceny were heard;
defendant ordered confined in the
N. C. Department of Correction as a
committed youthful offender for a
period not to exceed two years. Other
charges of forgery and uttering a
forged instrument were heard; volun
tary dismissal. Charges of kidnap
ping and contributing to the delin
quency of a minor were dismissed by
the prosecutor.
