Dabney Drive, Henderson, N.C. Carpet Corner ED EVANS RUGS HAVE THEIR PLACE Although carpet can solve many decorating problems with one sweeping gesture, it isn't for every home or every taste. Just as carpeting can be used to create the sense of space and unity, rugs can be employed to good effect in defining separate areas, creating cozy spaces, and accenting your decor. An AREA RUG is a medium sized rug used to demarcate a cer tain section of a large room in which a particular activity takes place, such as dining, music, con versation, or games. It can take a variety of shapes: oblong, square, oval, round, or free-form. ACCENT RUGS are smaller than area rugs. They are used primarily to give a note of color in terest to your floor and can be used over just about any flooring, including carpeting. The trick is to make sure that the accent rug and the basic flooring do not clash, or make the room too "busy." A. B. Hair Carpet, Inc.
