RANDY STUART HOLTZMANN Holtzmann-King Vows Spoken A t Jerusalem Miss Laura Yvette King and Handy Stuart Holtzmann were united in holy matrimony in the sanctuary of Jerusalem United Methodist Church on Saturday May 27. The Rev. Timothy Russell, pastor, performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence C. King, Jr., of Norlina. She is a graduate of Warren Academy and has at tended N. C. State University in Raleigh. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers Holtzmann, of Ridgeway. He is a graduate of Warren County High School and is employed by Rose's in Hen derson. A program of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Heath Frazier, pianist and cousin of the groom. Mrs. Gary Paynter, cousin of the groom, and Patrick Moseley, sang "Always." Escorted and given in mar riage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta gown. The lace bodice, designed with a bib of pearled, embroidered Alencon lace, featured an off-the-shoul der, "V" neckline and chantilly lace leg-o'-mutton sleeves. The full taffeta skirt was bordered in matching embroidered Alencon lace and Venise lace. It flowed with a chapel-length train of chantilly lace. For her headpiece, the bndfc chose a twisted bead band, with sprays of silk flowers and pearls. The edged veiling had been fashioned with two-tier, fingertip filaments at tached to its back. For her bou quet, the bride carried white roses and ivy. Miss Michelle White, of Green ville, served as maid of honor. Other bridesmaids were: Miss Crystal King and Mrs. Cynthia King Swanger, sisters of the bride; Miss Allison Crouch and Miss Helen Pierce. Dan Blaylock served as best man. Other groomsmen were: Lamar King, brother of the bride; Stephen Swanger, brother in-law of the bride; Tommy Callahan and Michael Fleming. Ms. Stephanie Holtzmann, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. Bradley Holtzmann, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. Mrs. Herbert Bur rows, aunt as the bride, served as mistress of ceremonies. Following a wedding trip to Virginia's Shenandoah Valley the couple will make their home in Drewry. Reception Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Dawn Burrows, cousin of the bride, presided at the guest register. The wedding cake was baked and served by Mrs. Ber nard Holtzmann, aunt of the groom. Punch was served by Miss Christine Felts, great-aunt of the bride. Courtesies A bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted on May 26 by Michelle White at The Norlina Landmark. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Middleburg Steak House. Hosts for the event were: Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers Holtzmann, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Pridgen, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Watkins, Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Proctor, and Mrs. Mae Belle Williams. An after-rehearsal dance was given at the Drewry fire house by friends and family of the groom. A miscellaneous shower was held April 30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ridgeway. Hostesses were: Mrs. Shirley White, Mrs. Lucy Holtzmann, Mrs. Faye Holtzmann, Mrs. Hazel Holtzmann, Mrs. Tillie Daeke, Mrs. Susan Bender and Mrs. Evelyn Huffman. A bridal shower was held May 21 at Jerusalem United Methodist Church. Hostesses were: Mrs. Cliffie Burrows, Mrs. Nell Mose ley, Mrs. Ann Lawhorne, Mrs. Brenda Keeter, Mrs. Edith Gat lin, Miss Kim Moseley and Miss Stacey Lawhorne. Fleming, of Warrenton, attending the homecoming service at Inez Bap tist Church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Perkinson, of Raleigh, visited Mrs. Gladys Perkinson on Sunday. Norwood Baker returned home Monday, following a week's stay with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Buster Dishmon, on Lake Gaston in Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Harris, of Yorktown, Va., visited Thurston Ayscue at Warren Hills Nursing Center on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Clarke spent last week at Emerald Isle. Mr. and Mrrs. C. T. Brauer, of Richmond, Va., visited Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bobbitt over the weekend. On .Saturday, the Brauers and the Bobbitts at tended the Clyde Bobbitt family reunion held in Wake Forest. Mr. and Mrs. Allen J. Harp, of Shelby, visited Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Harp, of Norlina, and Mrs. Sidney Murphy, of Gold Sand.
