W. T. Finley, J. T.. &, J. R;
Finley, E. S. Blair, A. A. Fin
ley and A. W. Finley estate
tracts. ; The terminal depot of
the; Northwestern North Caro
lina railroad is situated near
the center of this body of land,
which is now being laid out in
to streets and lots by a corps
of railroad engineers under the
general supervision of Maj. M.

was held in Maj. Bolton's-. pri
vate car on the evening of -1 the
4th inst., at which were pres
ent A. A. Finley, Maj. Bolton,

don, Sec'y & Tres., and it ;was
decided to call the proposed
new town New Wilkesboro in
stead of Gordon. . ! .
The contract for grading the
streets will'be let in a few days
and the work will begin at
once. It is expected that tlie
company will be in readiness to

by Jauary the lOtn. .

has sent th mprtuary blanks

Charlotte. He says the reports
sent to him don't show' enough
dead men in., comparison with
the population of Charlotte.
