Herring left Tuesday j for the State W. M. U. in Rocky Mount. She was to he the guest of Mrs. R. M. Sanford. Mr. and Mrs. Theo. B. Davis, Jr., have taken an apartment in the:' home of Mrs. Mary E. Davis and have begun keeping house. J. C. Wilson left last Friday to take a position in Georgia with the educational department which is making a survey of schools. Miss Elaire Strickland was home ! for the week-end from Atlantic 1 Christian College. She was accom- i panied by two of her friends. Rev. C. M. Billings, who has not | been well for some weeks, has gone j to the Baptist Hospital at Winston- Salem for diagnosis and treatment. Rev. Carl Ousley was a guest for i\ short while in the home of the editor last Sunday afternoon. Mr., Ousley is the new pastor at Wake field. Mr. and Mrs. A. N.
