We are glad to report that little Inez Creech is gradually improving from infantile paralysis. Mr. L. C. Allen has accepted (he Supt.’s place on the resignation of Mr. Coy Pate. Philmore Willips I feel almost like the little hoy who had the mumps when he was scheduled to sing. He had to sing. I’m not scheduled to write but I’ve been dared to write a column. I feel almost like running away but I believe I’ll stay on and irritate the readers of “The Zebulon Re cord” a while. I heard a rather clever definition of a dwarf this week. Someone asked a young man what a dwarf was. He quickly replied, “ A min iature dude.” If that definition is correct then many of the “boys about town" are dwarfs. I went down to the Zebulon Sup ply Company last week to look at some furniture. (No, I’m not going to furnish a home for myself or anyone else.) I only wanted to see what they had new in the way of gadgets. They have such pleasant salesmen there that I was almost persuaded to buy something real pretty in spite of the fact that I had only four cents in my purse. Singning off as I hear you draw a deep sigh. Yes, it is all nonsense with no point to it. You guessed it right the first time without my having to tell you about it. (The pointless tale.) The boundary lne between the United States and Canada is mark ed by 5,483 monuments. In England there is a hosiery firm that claims to have transacted business, continuously, since 1375.
