THE Rocky Cross News Mr. and Mrs. Lemon Bryant an nounce the birth of a son Wednes. day, April 22. Mr. S. G. Strickland was brought home from the hospital last week, but we are sorry to say that his condition hasn’t improved much. Mrs. Henry Workman and chil dren and Miss Ester Hagwood of ' Raleigh visited Mrs. Jene E. Hag wood Tuesday night. Miss Mary Hagwood spent Wed nesday night in Middlesex with Miss Janet Allen. Mrs. Mackie Wayne and Miss Ruth Wayne spent Thursday after noon in Spring Hope visiting with friend. Miss Ruby Bryant spent the weekend Jn Samaria with Mias Frances Brantley. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Whitaker and family of near Wendell and Mrs T. H. Sterns and son of Durham were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Strickland Sunday afternoon. We were glad to have such a large number at church Sunday. We hope to have them with us a gain next Sunday. Middlesex News Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Knight and daughter Aileen and M.r Gerald Fru returned to their hom e in Houston, Texas, Wednesday after spending several days with friends and relatives. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Banks, regret to hear of them moving to Wallace. M.r Banks has for som e time worked ,in the drug store here. He will take a position in the Wallace Drug Store. Mrs. O. G. Barker entertained at a weiner roast Tuesday afternoon for her junior Sunday School class Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moya of Wilson and Mrs. C. H. Eatmon of Bailey were visitors in the home of Mrs. David Daniel Sunday. Mrs. Ralph Hales and Mrs. Liles of Spring Hop e spent Monday here. Mrs. J. H. Sanders, Mrs. B. F. Holland and Mrs Minnie Holiday motored to Momeyer Sunday after, noon visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. O. C. Holland and Miss Helen High visited Miss Christine High in Durham Tuesday.
