NUMBER 10 COLEY CAIN DIES FROM EFFECTS OF WOUNDS Caley Cain, escaped convict and North Carolina’s bad man No. 1, is dead. He died at the home of a cousin near Clinton Tuesday mom., ing from effects of wounds receiv ed in a battle with officers near Florence, S. C., the day befqre. Cain, a Raleigh boy who got off on the wrong track some years ago, escaped last May from State prison and since then has been in constant flight from the law.
