CLUB NOTES (Continued from front page) den Club. Mrs. W. C. Campen, chairmen of committee on the Yearbook, dis tributed them for the current year, stating that the hand-painted cov ers had been done by Mrs. M. B. Walker, a new member of the club. The hostesses served a salad course with cofee to the members, and to Mesdames J. T. Allen, of Wendell, Fannie Jones and W. M. Page, of Zebulon, guests. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. Fred Page. ROTARIANS HOSTS TO TEACHERS The Zebulon Rotary Club enter tained the Wakelon teachers last Friday evening. This is a yearly affair. Vance Brown had the pro gram and he made it interesting and entertaining. Mrs. L. M. Massey sang several selections. Every teacher was then asked to tell what she enjoyed best at the yearly Rotary supper. They gave some interesting and hu morous answers. They said that they wanted the Zebulon Rotarians to organize a marirage bureau, or hinted at such. After this Miss Alston read a paper describing each Rotarian. That was some thing hard to understand. She knew every one’s strong point and weak ones, too, especially the weak ones. How it is that a woman knows so much about man is more than I can fathom, and we men learn nothing from them, even af ter we have spent all of our lives with them. Shucks! They do not need any marriage bureau estab lished. They know too much about man now. The club certainly enjoyed them, as we always do. Wakelon has a fine set of teachers. Monday, Oct. 11th, Wendell Ro tary club entertained the Clayton, Raleigh and Zebulon clubs. It was a splendid meeting. Wendell folks make you enjoy yourself when you go there.
