er and authority contained in that
certain mortgage deed executed by
Peter Winston and wife Sadie Win
ston, to Alvarado Taylor, and re
corded in Book 689, at page 339, in
the office of the Register of Deeds
for Wake County, default having
been made in the payment of the
indebtedness thereby secured, the
undersigned will, on Monday, Nov
ember 22nd, 1937, at 12:00 o’clock
noon, in front of the County Court
house door, offer for sale and sell
to the highest bidder for cash, the
following described tract or parcel
of land:
A certain lot in the Town of
Wake Forest, Wake County, North
Carolina, adjoining the lands of the
Carlyle estate, Peggy Crenshaw
and others, bounded as follows: Be
gins at a stone, Chlora Hick corner
in Stephen Taylor’s line, and runs
thence South 49 West 2.93 chains;
thence South 41 East 1.71 chains;
thence North 49 East 2.93 chains;
thence North 41 West 1.71 chains
to the beginning, and containing
one-half acre, more or less, being
the same lot of land this day con
veyed to Sadie Winston by Alvara
do Taylor and J. L. Taylor, her hus
band, by deed to be recorded here
with. This deed is executed to se
cure the unpaid portion of the pur
chase-price for the lot of land above
described.
This the 15th day of Oct., 1937.
