More Cold Ahead From many sources come reports of cold already felt this winter and prophecies of still colder weather ahead. Not only all parts of this country have felt the sting of un usually low temperatures; but as far away as Greece the deepest anows of many years have fallen, reaching a depth of 36 inches in some places. SCRAPPLE SELLS WELL It is good to be able to state that Zebulon’s newest enterprise, the Carolina Scrapple Company is finding a ready market for their product in this and adjacent sec tions. To those who may not be certain of w4iat scrapple is, it might be defined as a family rela tion to liver pudding, and is a fine addition to breakfast, dinner, or supper. Just slip it in the oven and browm it for a few minutes, then serve hot. ABC BOARD FEARS REPEAL OF COUNTY ACTS W. T. Bost states in the Greens boro News that members of the state ABC board are dubious over the outlook for their counties, be lieving there is a decided trend to ward repeal of all county acts and that the present control system may be destroyed from within. Governor Hoey is said to believe that the state is predisposed to ward prohibition. The only thing that seems certain is that the sit uation is uncertain.
