Vlr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Harris anl children, Cynthia and George, spent the Christmas holidays in Plymouth. Nrs. R. R. Creech and son, Chades Creech, spent Christmas Daj in Wilson with relatives. V. Harvey Strickland and Miss Lalt Driver of Wilson were mar ried on Christmas Day. Mr. Strick laid is the older son of Mrs. W. H. Strickland and spent his boyhood ii Zebulon. Mrs. Strickland teach es in the Wilson County schools, teing a member of the Saratoga ficulty. Mr. and Mrs. 0. R. Cockrell, Mrs. V. H. Strickland and Frederick Strickland, all of Wilson, were in lebulon on Wednesday. Mr. Cock iell had two teeth extracted here that day, and the other members cf the party visited with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harris, until recently of Raleigh, have moved in to rooms in the Wakefield house itnown as the Hagwood home. The W. J. Perrys occupy the other part of this house. Glenn Joyner has bought the house and garden plot of the W. A. Joyner property at Wakefield and will move into the house at an early date. It was occupied this year by the Keiths, who have mov ed to the Richardson farm just in front of the John Broughton home. Miss Nellie Bordeaux returned to her home in Durham Monday after a short visit here with her sister, Mrs. Jethro Stell. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Spencer and daughter, Dorothy Mizelle, went last Saturday to Kinston to visit Mrs. Spencer’s sister for a few days. Mrs. Lawrence Tracy of Kinston spent the first part of this week here with her parents, the J. H. Bunnns, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Shamburger and children, Betsy and Van, of Richmond, were here for a part of the holidays with the Pittman Stells. Miss Annie Mildred Herring ar rived on Tuesday of last week from Northfield, Mass., to visit her par ents, the R. H. Herrings. Mrs. Lena Dunn Freeman and lit tle daughter, and Mrs. Lou Whel ess of Wak Forest were visitors in Zebulon during the holidays. THE ZEBULON RECORD. Girards of Rocky Mount were here on Sunday to see Mrs. Girard’s parents, the Nathan Hortons and other members of the family. Rev. R. H. Herring, Mrs. Her ring, Misses Annie Mildred and Cornelia Herring, were guests of Dr. Ed Herring in Raleigh for din ner on Christmas Day. Mrs. Merritt Massey came home from the hospital last week, but is still confined to bed. Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Chamblee, Frederick Chamblee, and Mr. and Mrs. Burke McConnell were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Liles of San ford on Christmas Day. Mrs. Wallace Chamblee, who has spent the holidays with rela tives in Georgia, is expected home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Kemp and daughters, Misses Anne and Kay Kemp, went to visit Mrs. Kemp’s parents and other relatives in Vir ginia for a part of the holidays. Miss Grace Coltrane of the Juil lard School of Music, New York City, is spending her vacation at home with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Coltrane. Miss Josephine Bradley is anoth er student whose name was by re grettable error omitted from the list of college students published last week. She attends G. C. W. and came home to the Methodist Par sonage for Christmas vacation. Miss Jane Hoyle was home from teaching at Black Creek for the holidays with her family. Those visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oris E. Horton during Christmas holidays were: Dr. and Mrs. Roy G. Smarr and two sons, Roy, Jr. and Jessis of Columbia, S. C.; Misses Katie B. and Ella Mae Anderson, of Durham; Mr. Lewis McDade, Durham; Mrs. Allie Strickland, Wendell and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Anderson and family of Eagle Rock. Mike Eddins had leave to come home from Norfolk for the holi days and visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Eddins, and Mrs. T. H. Hester in Wendell before re turning to his post in the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Biggs of Wendell visited Mrs. Biggs’ sister, Mrs.C. M. Watson, on Monday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Mclntyre have taken the upstairs apartment in the F. D. Finch home and will keep house. Mr. Mclntyre has the work in the Agricultural Depart ment of Wakelon School since the resignation of D. R. Senter, form er teacher here. REAMS - MEDLIN On Thursday afternoon, Dec. 23, Miss Cladie May Medlin, daught- Nash County, were married by by er of Luther Medlin of Pearces, and Woodrow Reams of near Castalia, Rev. Theo. B. Davis. Since the license was issued in Nash county, the ceremony had to be performed in that county, so preacher and prospective bride and groom drove acioss Franklin county into Nash where the ceremony was perform ed. Mr. Arthur Driver who has been in a hospital in Kecoughtan, Va., since September, spent the holidays at home with his family. Those spending Christmas day with Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Driver, were Mrs. W. I. Green, Mrs. Ray Nowell and Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Driver and children of near Wen 'll. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Lswts c* Vakefield, parents of Mrs. Driver. Mr. R. B. Overman is spending the week in Virginia with his son Sherman. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lewis, Mrs. Luthur Faison, Frank Faison and Leon Driver are spending the hol idays in Philadelphia, Pa.
