Miss Anne Hunt, of Charlotte, visited this week in the home of ; her grandmother, Mrs. A. J. Hunt. , Mrs. J. R. Broughton of route 3 has been taken to Rex hospital. She is suffering from mastoiditis. • Mrs. W. H. Cnamblee is still 1 sick at her home near Zebulon on 1 Route 3. She is, however, in bet ter condition than last week. Mrs. Ashley Hagwood was brought home from a Raleigh hos pital last Sunday—the day of her husband's funeral. Miss Alpha May Eddins was ' brought home fiom Mary Eliza beth hospital last week and, be coming worse, was taken back for further treatment. John Richardson, of route 2, has been sick this week. Mrs. Rena Young, who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bernice Bunn, was taken last Fri day to Duke Hospital for examin ation and treatment. Mrs. Young has not been well for several months. Mrs. W. N. Pitts has returned from Duke Hospital and is now at her home. She is able to be up a part of each day and to see a few callers. Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Coltrane left on Tuesday morning for Florida, to be away about ten days. They will go down the east coast to Mi ami and return by the Gulf coast route. Mrs. W. B. Farmer of Gladys, Va., arrived Friday of last week to spend some time in the 'home of her daughter, Mrs. Theo. Davis. Sam Croom, who has been sick for some months, still shows little imp.ovement in his condition. The C. V. Whitleys with Charles and Nancy, visited the S. A. Lees in Raleigh last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hales have taken the second floor apartment in the G. R. Massey home. Mr. Hales is druggist at the Zebulon Drug Store. C. V. THEO. B. DAVIS, Editor Building Continues in Zebulon The new home for the Claude Pippins is nearing completion, and is a most attractive house. C. V. Whitley has just had completed a dwelling to be occupied by Obie Cone of the wholesale store of the Zebulon Supply Co. Mrs. R. R. Creech is having the front of her home enlarged and altered to add another room to the apartment oc cupied by the Willard Gills. Mr. and Mrs. Obie Cone have moved to Zebulon from the Mur raytown community. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Chamblee, Miss Macie Chamblee, Mr. and Mrs. Graham Fowler and little daughter, Mildred Doris, visited Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Hester of Wen dell Tuesday night. Mr. Cham blee is a brother of Mrs. Hester. Mrs. Russell Stephenson of Wil son visited her mother, Mrs. T. M. Conn, on Wednesday of this week and also stopped in the Record of fice for a few minutes. R. L. Issacs of Raleigh was in Zebulon Wednesday with his usu al cheery greetings for friends. The Howard Bunns, and children, Margaret and Howard, Jr., visited their sister, Mrs. Lawrence Tracy, in Kinston Sunday. Mrs. Tracy came to Zebulon Tuesday with her little daughter to visit her mother, Mrs. John Bunn. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Kemp ac companied Dr. and Mrs. Coltrane on a trip to Florida, leaving Tues day. O. R. Cockrell, of Wilson, look ing extremely well, came into the Record office Thursday to pay his subscription and said some things about the town and the paper that were pleasant to hear. Pleasant Hill News Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Carter of Wendell spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bertie < ar ter. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Timber lake, of Youngsville, were visitors at C. D. Jeffries. Mrs. R. L. Denton is recovering after having 'her tonsils removed at Rex hospital. Mr. B. F. Weathers is not im proving much at Mary Elizabeth hospital. We are sorry to report Mrs. O. W. Thorne is sick. Mrs. S. T. Whitaker is spending some time with her mother, Mrs. Healon Strickland, near Wendell, who is very sick. Miss Elizabeth Hawkins is spending several weeks with rela tives at Kack Creek. Mr. G. B. Richardson is not im proving much at Rex hospital. Ennis Puryear and Joseph Moody called at T. Y. Puryear’s Monday. Mrs. Powell Puryear is still feeble. The doctor was called to see her last Friday. Four new rural communities of Person County will be supplied with electrical current shortly and the residents are now studying about proper wiring appliances. HAY FOR SALE! C. Daniels enter tained at their home, guests being the pastor of the Baptist church, the board of deacons, the pulpit committee and the committee on the new heating plant.
