THE ZEBULON RECORD, ZEBULON, NORTH CA ROLIXA, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14,1938 SOCIETY MRS. THEO. B. DAVIS, Editor Please send local or personal items to the RECORD shop by Tuesday night, if possible. BEYOND THE EQUINOX Beyond the autumnal equinox, be yond that destined day of cold and heavy cloud which with dark slanting silver cuts the bond between two seasons, makes the dry brooks loud once more with swift sky-water,— past that storm, earth will be brave with scarlet and with plum, the mountains ache to crimson and be warm, and fields complete the summer’s final sum. Beyond the equinox, beyond the hour when frost comes on to whiten morning grass, there will live still the secret way ward flower, the closed blue gentian and late carrot-lace. In the wild corners of untraveled hills, in rough lost pastures, by a sag ging barn, there will be blossoms, though the summer fails, and stubborn beauty for the heart to learn. FRANCES FROST, In Christian Science Monitor. Hilliard Green, Jr., was taken to a hospital on Tuesday evening. He is suffering from an infection that started with a slight trouble in his nose. She is responding well to the treatment, and is able to see some of her friends at inter vals. As Mrs. J. M. The Negro claimed that he had never before seen a bus stop at that point.
