CLUB NEWS (Continued From Page One) which was organized last year un der her leadership, was the first colored club in the state. Mrs. Chas. Weathersby again urged members to subscribe to the Southern Garden magazine, and reported that an adequate list of shut-ins had been mailed to Mrs. Mittie Henley in Raleigh. Mrs. Finch called attention to the State Garden School to be held in Wilmington Oct. 20, 27, 28, and urged that some members arrange to attend. There was announcement of the flower show for the November meeting. Three prizes are offered as follows: 1. Best specimen chrysanthe mums. 2. Best arrangement of chrysan themums. 3. Best arrangement, any flower. Twenty members were present and one new member, Mrs. Wallace Chamblee. Delicious refreshments were served. UNUSUAL WINDOW DISPLAY AT ZEBULON DRUG The Zebulon Drug Store is ob serving National Pharmacy Week and as one feature has an unusual display in the north window. Among items shown are mortars and pestles; bottles of varying sizes, shapes and colors filled with liquids; prescription blanks; a wide range of antiseptics in different forms; roots of sarsaparilla, gin ger, and gentian; henna leaves; bark of wild cherry, and cascara. Many will find this window more attractive than the east one which is filled with Halloween articles; for Halloween comes but once a year, while one may get sick any time.
