Mr. James Liner and Mr. Charles Balinetine of Lake Junaluska visit ed Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Stallings Sunday Morning. Mrs. Larosa Bunn and Miss Maron Langster of Louisburg went to Ahoskie Sunday morning. Miss Sheron the music teacher at Bunn visited Mrs. Rona Cone Sunday. Mr. Vernon Williams of Raleigh visited his mother here Sunday. Mr. Barnes was a visitor at church Sunday and his bass voice was very much enjoyed by all. Dr. Forest C. Feezor is to be here Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 o’clock. Dr. Feezor is pastor of the Tab ernacle Baptist Church in Raleigh. PLEASANT HILL Mrs. S. T. Whitaker was a visi tor at Mrs. Harget Alphin’s near Wendell Sunday. Mr. Alphin is back from the hospital recoving from both legs broken. We are sorry Mrs. John Starnes is sick, also Mr. O. N. Philips. Hope they will soon be well. Mrs. Jasper Oakley underwent an operation last week at Duke Hospital. She is getting on very well. Mr. and Mrs. Worth Horton were visitors at her father’s near Wen dell, Mr. Dan Marshburn. WAKE X ROADS It seems as if the mules have got an upper hand on Braxton Liles About two months ago he was thrown off a wagon and fractured his hip, and last Wednesday the same mule kicked him in the face. He seems to be getting along fine except his face is swollen a lot. Hope he will soon be well. Mrs. H. M. Poole visited Raleigh Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Perry gave a party last Tuesday night, Nov. 29 in honor of their son, Doyatte, on his 21st birthday. There were about 40 present. Every one en joyed the fine string music. Doy atte received a large number of useful gifts. After the music, oranges, apples and raisins were served. Mrs. Lillie Liles has been seri ously ill at her home for some time. On Friday, Nov. 25, she burned her leg on the heater and she hasn’t been able to walk for about a week. Hope she will soon be well. The W. M.
