Davis received a telegram Monday telling of the death of a brother, Jacob Davis, in Palm Ev?ach, Fla. A later mes sage stated that burial would be at Buckhead, Ga., of Thursday p.m. Mr. Davis left for Georgia on Wednesday evening. Dr. J. O. Newell of Franklinton, in Zebulon Wednesday, came into the Record office long enough to say “How-de-do” and “Goodbye”. Mrs. Bennie Wrenn of Apex spent last week here with her mother, Mrs. Wiley McGee. Miss Margaret Bunn, daughter of the F. E. Miss Annie Rose Southerland, formerly of Wakelon’s faculty, now of Raleigh, spent the weekend as guest of teachers at Wakelon dorm itory. Elmo Bunn has not yet wholly recovered from his recent automo bile accident. His arm, which was deeply cut, became infected and he has suffered considerably as a result. Miss Helen Bunn was home from Wilson for the week end with her mother, Mrs. Ed Bunn.
