A CHANCE EUR CIVIC COOPERATION By Rev. C. F. Allen, Scoutmaster Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Zebulon, the Boy Scouts of Troop No. 40 are building a log cabin next to the water plant. In the building of this cabin an opportunity is given to all the civic minded people of this community to show real cooperative effort. Such an en terprise is of great value to Zebulon, and it is urged that all who have the means share in it. It is needless to say that the Boy Scout Move ment is an asset to any community, as the local scouts have already demonstrated this by their rendering civic service at the schixil com mencement and on other similar occasions. The Scouts have a record of handling all the traffic at the Wakelon Commencement last year without a single accident or friction of any kind. If an organization can thus render such signal community service, all citizens of Zebulon should have a part in the completion of a home for the Scouts. Such a place can be used also for other meetings and recreational events for the people of our town, especially the young people. The Committee STATEMENT Peoples Bank 6* Trust Co. Let us all get together and show the real Zebulon spirit in helping the Boy Scouts realize this most worthy objective o WHY NOT' NOT A HAD IDEA So far it seems no one has filed for office in the next election for • • officials in Zebulon. Just suppose we agree, .til of .us, not to file. Then when election time comes around, let's everybody vote for the men we believe best fitted to represent us in the town government. Let the one receiving the largest number of votes be declared mayor and the next five highest aldermen. That will certainly get the choice of the largest number of citizens WAKE COUNTY FARMERS BUY REGISTERED HORSES. COLT SHOW NEXT MONTH According to County Agent Jno. C.
