Friday, August 11, 1944 Zebulon Society News Mrs. Leon Thompson of Sanford and her little daughter, Nancy Wood, are visiting friends in Zeb ulon, their former home. Mr. and Mrs. Philip, Massey, their daughter, Anne, and Beth Massey left Sunday for a stay at Carolina Beach. Miss Mary O’Dear has returned to Creedmoor after visiting her sister, Mrs. M. L. Massey, here. A visitor in the Eger Massey home here last week was her nephew, Hubert Bailey, Jr., senior at West Point Military Academy. Mrs. Rex Duckett of St. Peters burg. Fla., is visiting her parents, the Pittman Stells. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Privette are on a vacation trip to Newport News and other seashore points. Mr. and Mrs. Garland Godwin have returned to Newport News after visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. George Griffin left Monday morning for Rockingham to visit Mrs. Griffin's mother, Mrs. l Poplin, and will spend a part of their vacation with other relatives. Rev. R. H. Herring supplied for the pastor of the Spring Hope EJaptist* Church last Sunday. Rev. Theo. B. Davis preached at the Sunday morning service in the Selma Baptist Church. This church is at present without a regular pastor. Mrs. M. B. Chamblee and daugh ter, Mrs. John Liles, have gone to Seven Springs to stay a while. Mrs. Wallace Chamblee, who has been visiting relatives in Mil ledgeville, Ga., is ill in a hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Parker and daughter left Sunday for a vaca tion trip to Wadesboro. Mrs. Par ker's niece. Miss Sarah Gray, who has been visiting here, returned with them. Mrs. Carl Ousley and children of Sanford, in this section visiting, stopped to see Mrs. Fred Hood Saturday.
