Foster — The Zebulon Credit Union’s membership is steadily increasing. Anyone wishing to become a mem ber may do so by seeing the Sec retary-Treasurer. Mrs. R. P. Rich ardson, and paying a joining fee of twenty-five cents. You may take out as many shares as you like. One share is five dollars. The primary grades of the Shep ard School presented an operetta, “The Magic Feather.” last Tues day evening. It was really good and everyone seemed to have en joyed it from start to finish. The i little folk did fine. The Mother’s Day program was sponsored by the Group Missionary Circles of the Wakefield Baptist j Church (colored). Rev. Brown of Shaw University preached the sermon. Mrs. Betty. Frances Carpenter of Brooklyn. N. Y.. is spending the summer with her sister. Lizzie B. Foster. Mrs. Mary Matthews of Connec ticut is visiting her mother and sister, Mrs. Tinker Preddy and Mrs. Margaret Taylor of Zebulon. Route 2. The Woman's Home and Foreign Missionary Union of Wake County met with the Rev. H. D. Lee’s Church of Raleigh on the second Sunday in June. Feature ot this month's meeting will be the bugling contest, and, although the Zebulon troop has no contestants, interested in the outcome contest. Cubs to Play Baseball With Raleigh Saturday —by Armstrong Cannady — Pack No. 40 of Zebulon will meet Pack No. 4 of Raleigh in a red hot baseball game at Wakelon High School Saturday aftenoon at 2:30. The game will be the first contest of the year for the visitors and the third for the local nine. Everyone is invited to come out and see the Cubs battle it out. Next week is Pack meeting week. Pack 40 meets at the Wo man's Clubhouse at 7:30 on Thurs day night. June 5. This is to be a very special meeting in prepara tion for the Soap Box Derby to be held next month.
