Page Two Methodist Bible School Begins on Monday; Sixty-Three Enrolled The Zebulon Methodist Bibl< School is now in session. It begai at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, Jun< 2. The teachers are: Beginners Mrs. H. V. Andrews and Linch Massey; Primary class, Mrs. Gar land Richardson and Thurmar Tippett; Juniors, Mrs. Joe Tippet and C. E. Wade. The Intermediate class is taught by Mrs. Fred Page Music directors are Mrs. H. C Wade and Laura James Sexton The Woman’s Society of Chris tian Service provides refreshment for the children each day. There are sixty-three enrolled in the Bi ble school. Goodnight-Johnson Marriage Plans Are Announced Here Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson have announced plans for the mar riage of their daughter, Louise, to Neil Goodnight of Boone and Gas tonia, on Thursday, June twelfth, in the Zebulon Baptist Church at five o’clock in the afternoon. Officiating ministers will be Miss Johnson's uncle, the Reverend Rex Duckett of St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Reverend Ervin White of Dallas, brother-in-law of Mr. Goodnight. Miss Sarah Morgan Farmer of Bailey is to be maid of honor. Bridesmaids are Misses Betsy Shamburger of Richmond, Virgin ia, and Osee Mae Johnson of En field, both cousins of the bride elect. Immediately after the ceremony there will be a reception in the Stell-Johnson home for the wed ding party, relatives and a number of special friends of the bridal couple. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are not sending out formal invitations, but hope that friends of the .family will attend the wedding. Many Pilot Natives Return (or Visit Home Mr. and Mrs. Joe Champion and two girls were guests of Mrs. Way lon Ray over the weekend. Miss Louise Pearce of Raleigh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearce, was home on Sunday, ac companied by her girl friend, Miss Zaral Demost. We had a splendid attendance at church both Sunday morning and night. We are very sorry to lose one of our young girls. Miss Peggie Privette. She has gone to Wilson to live. We wish her the best of luck. Miss Cherrie Pearce was home with, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearce, over the weekend. Parker and Linda of New York were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dominie Bunn last week. , Diamond Bridge Club Meets with Mrs. Gill The Diamond Bridge Club met Friday night at the home of Mrs. i Ruric Gill. Beautiful arrangements of mixed flowers were used through the j house. It was one of the best games of the year and • j the home club really showed Ral eigh how to play the game. The game took place at Wakelon 1 School Saturday at twothirty, and 1 was a thriller from start to finish. ’ Each club made three runs in the ’ first inning and held each other scoreless in the second. Raleigh took the lead in the first ■ half of the third inning by five runs, only to lose it to the local club in the last half when Cloid Wade, Jr., knocked a home run and ! started a merry-go-round for Pack 1 40. The inning ended with Raleigh 8, Zebulon 11. The home club held the Raleigh boys to one run in the fourth inn ing while adding four more runs to ; their own score. The score was not 15 to 9 in favor of the Zebulon boys with the first half of the fifth and last inning coming up. Determined to win this game, Cloid Wade, Jr., struck out the first j three men at bat and the game was over.
