Page Two Pleasant Hill News Most all the farmers are fin ishing barning tobacco this week. Some finished last week. Most of the sick are improving, we are glad to say. Don’t forget our revival meet ing starts at Hephzibah next Sun day, September 7. Everyone is in vited to attend F. H. Price of the U. S. Navy was a visitor at Mr. J. B. Carter’s Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Williford and children of Bethany were sup per guests at Mrs. Joe Carter’s Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hood and little daughters, Ann Porter and Nancy Lou, of Boonville, spent several days with his mother, Mrs. E. W Hood and other relatives. Josephione Wood spent last week at the Crabtree Recreation Camp. Shirley Puryear of the iMt chell Mill section attended the camp also. Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Hood of Zebulon. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hood of Boonville and Mrs. E. W. Hood were visitors at Mrs. T. Y. Pur year's Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Carter and son Bobby returned to New Jer sey after spending a vacation of two weeks with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hawkins. .Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear, Jr., and son, Marvin, spent the week end at Selma with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allen. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Puryear and daughter, Bettie Francis, visited her mother, Mrs. Almus Weathers, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Moody, of Rolesville. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Gay and little son, Don, of Raleigh, spent Sunday with their mother, Mrs. E. W. Hood. Uncle Ulysses Dunn of this sec tion had a pile of tobacco on the opening sale at Wendell to bring a dollar a pound. —Mrs. T. Y. Puryear Mr. and Mrs. Raymond S. Den ton and daughters, Anita and Carol, of Lynnbrook, L. 1., N. Y., arrived Tuesday evening for a vis it witn the E. P. Dentons. They are planning to return today. M. D. Hood, Jr., of Fort Jack son, S C\, spent the past weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Hood.
