WAKEFIELD NEWS
Thanksgiving is almost here and
I am so thankful for the many
blessings I have received during
the past year. We should all be
more thankful than we are, and
serve Him better day by day. For
without His help we can do noth
ing. He is a wonderful savior to
me.
We all were glad to see our old
pastor last week, Mr. and Mrs. M.
M. Turner. They were here for
three days, visiting among us. We
are very glad to know they are do
ing well. He has a full time
church at High Point. The revival
is in full swing at our sister
church, Union Chapel, and was
continued through Saturday night.
All are cordially invited to come.
You will miss something worth
while if you don’t.
The Gospel Singers will be
there at Union Chapel from one till
4 Sunday P. M. It will be worth
your while to hear them. It’s a
fifth Sunday, you know.
Mrs. Helen Jones has been to
Gastonia to see the Sidney Fried
mans recently. She got back
Tuesday night.
Building is still in progress. The
C. T. Williams home is complete
and they are moving in. We are

If we could get our people as in
terested in cljurch going as they
are in football and other things
of the world, perhaps the love of
God would shine out in our lives
as it should.
Let’s love our neighbors, do
good deeds, and give some flowers
as we go along, and not wait till
they pass away and then pile
them on their graves. It’s too late
then. They don’t know about it
and they can’t thank you for some
thing they don’t know about. Do
good for evil. Love your enemy.
Pray for those that spitefully use
you. That’s what the good Book
says. I hope we all believe it.
