F. fdendricks is home af ter undergoing an operation at McPherson hospital in Durham. Mrs. Hubert visited her parents, Mr. and \Mrs. Hubert Ed dins this weekend. Mrs. H. A. HodWe, Sr., of 708 East Frankling St.' is visiting in the home of her son,\ H. A. Hidge, Jr. and Mrs. Vera 'Rhodes. The Zebulon Record Miss Sallie Lewis of Raleigh spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Hodge, Jr. Mr. D. A. Gay was brought from Rex Hospital Tuesday, he is get ting on fine. Mrs. E. W. Hood is very well at present. She is still in Raleigh with her daughter. Mrs. M. D. Hood and Mrs. Vera Rhodes visited in Durham last Thursday and Friday. They visit ed Mrs. Hester Veasley, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Hood, Mr. and Mrs. Boss O’Brian and spent the night with Mrs. Rhodes aunt, the Bob Hunts out on the Senator John Sprunt Hill farm near Durham. They had dinner with Mrs. Hood s cousin out on the Chapel Hill road near Chapel Hill. Mrs. M. D. Hood and Mrs. Vera Rhodes called to see Mrs. Allie Strickland at the home of Dr. Willard Strickland, her son. She is very well. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Faulkner were in Raleigh visiting friends in the hospital Sunday. Mr. H. A. Hodge, Sr., is improv ing and hopes to go home by the end of the week. We hope he can. Mrs. Ivey is the former Mary Stone and only child they have living. They are from Durham. We are glad to have all the new families move in, it makes it look like town. West end Wake field is filling up fast. Mrs. Tom mie Williams and the C. T. Wil liams have moved in. We are glad to have them. We are sorry to hear of the H. E. Whitakers of Millington, N. J. having another car wreck. No one was hurt but the car is in the hos pital for a $300.00 operation. That’s two cars that have been torn up for them in the past three months. It’s a heavy loss. Hello Sallie, I am sending you a box soon. Will write when I get time. It’s nice to have plenty of fish ing worms to fish with, without having to dig them by the sweat of the brow. When I have to dig them it takes the pleasure out of fishing for me, so the worms will be on hand any time we need them.
