Friday, January 16, 1948 PLEASANT HILL By Mrs. T. Y. Puryear At this date we are having beau tiful weather for January, and it seems the people that have to move are really busy. There are more people moving than usual. We welcome all the new comers in our section. There is quite a number sick. Mrs. S. T. Whitaker is on the sick list. It was reported Mr. Hughie Hinnant has pneumonia, we hope he will soon be well. Mrs. A. B. Knott has been in the hospital, but is in Durham with her sister, Mrs. Lowry Perry for a few weeks. We are sorry to hear that Mr. H. A. Hodge, Sr. is in the hospital, also Mrs. Carey Pearce. Mrs. Fannie Bolton, Mrs. Pearce are in Mary Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Donnie Gay and Mr. Charlie Jones are at Rex Hospital. They are all friends and neighbors of this community. Born to Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear, Jr., of Zebulon, Route 4, a baby girl, Silver Jean, Jan. 10. Mrs. B. K. Horton and son James and Bobby Rhodes, motor ed to Florida, where they spent a week with her cousin. Mrs. Dun can also visited Mr. H. K. Eddins’ children. They returned home a week ago and reported a nice trip. Our heart goes out to the Pin pin family. Mrs. Pippin was bur ied at Mont Lawn in Raleigh last Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Puryear and children were visitors at Mr. Beck Jones of Neuse, Rt. 1, last Thurs day night. Joe Yancey Thorne of Varina is staying with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear and going to school at Wakelon. We are sorry Mr. Allen, grand father of Mrs. J. T. Gay still stays feeble and is confined to his bed at the home of J. T. Gay. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Wiggs have recently moved into their new home at Lizzard Lick. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Williford and children of Bethany were supper guests Saturday evening at Mr. A. O. Puryears. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Puryear of Durham visited their parents over the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Carter and Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear. ADMINISTRATRIX NOTICE Having qualified as Administra trix of the Estate of M. C.
