As the truck rolled down Hor
ton Street to the Eddins residence
at a steady five miles per hour,
Worth Hinton was clocked turning
the siren at 45 miles per hour.
One of the town commissioners
suggested that the siren be geared
to the engine and the wheels be
geared to Worth, but the new fire
truck arrived before such action
was required.
