Friday, February 27, 1948 PILOT NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gravely, Jr. of Washington, D. C. were weekend guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sonnie Williams. » Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Alford of Raleigh, Miss Louise Pearce of Raleigh and Miss Cherrie Pearce of Washington, D. C. were home with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearce. Mr. Miley Bunn celebrated his 76th birthday on February 22nd. We are sorry that Mrs. Dur wood Stallings isn’t feeling so well. We ope she will soon be better. Mr. Buddie Lewis has added an addition to our sick list this week. We wish for him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond John son of Raleigh were visitors in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bullock on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Denton, and Mrs. Charles Rose were guests there also. Little Michael Brooks spent the weekend in Raleigh with his mother, Mrs. Merle Brooks. On Tuesday evening Mr. Be jork is showing a movie following the Parent-Teacher Association. Miss Nell Stallings was home. Mr. Cadwin Cone was also home. Mr. and Mrs. Dougles Smith of Raleigh spent the day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miley Bunn last week. Regular Church Services were held. Mr. William Pippin, Miss Bufer Green and Mr. and Mrs. Will Mar tin have gone to Florida to stay for awhile. — Bonita Child's Life In Balance Wayne Price, young son of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Price, is better this week after taking what Duke Hospital doctors described as a last hope treatment for a tumor on the base of his brain. He will complete the X-ray Thermetry treatments Monday. It will re quire two weeks of observation to tell whether he will respond to the treatment. On Tuesday he was able to talk a little, and walked some Wed nesday. His family has requested ‘the prayers of all Christian peo ple that he may respond to the treatment.’ They expressed their sincere appreciation for the help and comfort that has been extend ed to them and their son. The Zebulon Baptist Church sent a collection of $56.76 to aid in paying some of the hospital ex penses for Wayne. The Zebulon Record Season of Prayer Here The W. M. S. of the Baptist Church will observe next week the Season of prayer for the Home Missions. A service will be held in the Baraca room of the church on Monday, Tuesday, Wed nesday and Friday afternoons, with a service Thursday night when the program will be given by the Y. W. A.
