Sermon topic: God the Supreme
Being
You should have been here last
Sunday, he used the same sub
ject and will use it three times
in succession. So don’t miss the
next one, it’s worth your while
to corne and get these wonderful
messages.
There is a gap between what
we are and what God wants us
to be. We must bridge the gap.
We want restoration, but we can’t
have it unless we do certain
things, unless we wait on God.
The world is especially in great
need of earnest, heart searching
prayer. Prayer for United Na
tions. Europe, Japan and leaders
of nations we perhaps do not
trust.
From a wall of such prayer
may come world peace.
Am sorry to report more boot
weather. I hope mine lasts the rest
of the winter but they are in
constant use.
Our new highway is proving its
worth now. I wouldn't take a
million dollars for it, for if we
didn’t have it we would surely be
marooned for it was so bad
last winter we couldn’t travel it
and we didn’t even have any
snow.
I read Philip Bunn’s letter. I
sympathize with them up there.
I know just what a predicament
they are in for we have already
past that way. I hope they can
get something done about it soon.
We are looking forward for our
telephones some time soon. It will
be a great relief to have them.
Well, I hope we are going to
have a Laundryette between
Wakefield and Zebulon. It will be
a great relief to know you can get
your laundry done near by. They
are fine to have. I’ve been going
to Raleigh with mine since last
summer.
Our sick is about well now and

Open a Checking Account...
For safety and convenience, use a checking account for all your
money. Write a check to pay any or all of your bills, and you’ll
have a permanent receipt to prove that you paid it. It is easy
to keep within your budget when you can make a rapid check
on where your money goes.
We're Ready To Serve You ...
No matter what your banking needs, we are always ready to
serve you in any way we possibly can. Maybe you need a little
money to tide you over a rough spot. We can let you have it.
Or maybe you want to start a savings account for your child.
For them we have the lovely chrome banks.
