Stores Plan Closing
On Easter Monday
Zebulon stores will remain clos
ed Easter Monday, March 29, if
plans initiated by local merchants
this week are carried through.
Nearly every store owner express
ed a willingness to declare the day
after Easter a business holiday so
that employees can enjoy a long
Easter weekend.
Plans are also being worked out
for stores to close each Wednes
day afternoon at 1:00 beginning
April 7 and continuing through
the summer months. This mid
week closing was carried out last
year with success.
Store owners who cannot work
these closing dates in with their
business plans are asked to com
municate with Barrie Davis, sec
retary of the Chamber of Com
merce, so that some date suitable
to all merchants can be chosen.
