Farmers who will devote a part of their land to the growing of alfalfa are asked to contact Cham ber of Commerce President C. V. Whitley or Secretary Barrie Davis, and let them know the amount of the crop they plan to grow. Unless 700 acres of alfalfa is pledged, Mr. Whitley said that the plant will not be built. Those who are interested in the crop but who want additional in formation can get it from the Zeb ulon Chamber of Commerce or John Reitzel, the county agent. The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an advertisement in this issue of the Record explaining its drive. A meeting of the Zebulon Farm Bureau is planned to discuss this topic, according to the president, Early Moser, but a definite date has not yet been set. For the first time a junior piano ensemble has been organized con sisting of twelve high school stu dents from local piano classes.
