Friday, May 7, 1948 Pleasant Hill News I wish to correct a mistake made in our church news through the Zebulon Record. We have Sunday School at 10:00 o’clock and church service at 11:00 o’clock each Sun day. BTU at seven o’clock and church services at eight. Rev. Joe Roach is pastor at Hephzibah now, and such a wonderful sermon did he give last Sunday. He and his family haven’t moved into the parsonage yet on account of school but are hoping to move in a short while. He is from Lewiston. We invite everyone to come and hear him. We had 175 present for Sunday School last Sunday. If the peo ple would just go we could have four or five hundred present. We urge you to come. We would as semble ourselves together in the house of the Lord on the Sabbath day. We are sorry to report that Mrs. Lola Alphin is not improving any. We are sorry Mr. and Mrs. Wal ter Dean both have been ill. Mr. Ervin Gresham has return ed from Rex Hospital. We hope he will soon be out. We are sorry Mr. Willie Lee Currin is ill. Mrs. Lillie Horton fell from a wagon and broke her collar bone. We hope you are soon O. K. Miss Lillie. Mr. James Ellis Horton was kicked by a horse last week and is confined to his bed. He was riding one horse then the other one kicked him. We are glad he didn’t get any bones broken. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Ward and family were visitors at Fuquay Springs Sunday. Her sister, Mrs. Bertha Hamley and little daugh ter, came back with her to spend a few days. Mrs. Jim Johnson is back from the hospital with her daughter, Mrs, Earl Horton. Mrs. Willis Rhodes, Mrs. Thel ma Williams were visitors at Mr. J. B. Carter’s Sunday afternoon. Whitaker and daughter returned to New Jer sey last Sunday after three weeks visit with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Gay and little son Don of Raleigh spent Sunday with Mrs. E. W. Hood. Mr. C. D. Puryear of Bunnlevel spent Monday night with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear. Some of the farmers have blue mold in their plant beds. Some are getting ready to set tobacco although it is very dry in this section. We haven’t had any rain recently. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Da vis of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Charles E. Flowers, Jr., of Balti more, Md. Mixed summer flowers were used throughout the house. The hostesses presented gifts to the honorees.
