Page Six WAKEFIELD NEWS We are proud to say all of our sick are much better. I went by Wayne Price’s home Monday and he was out in the yard playing. He was a lot better and he may outgrow his trouble. Let us hope and pray that he wins. Mrs. Helen Jones has gone back to Gastonia to be with her daugh ter. Francis M. Freidman is not get ting along so well. Hazel Bolton has had mumps. Dean Broughton is at home with the mumps. Mr. and Mrs. John Broughton were Raleigh visitors Monday. Mrs. E. W. Hood spent the day with Mrs. C. M. Rhodes Tuesday. I took her to see Mrs. Wade’s dance class at the school building. It was a wonderful program. I just wish I could get in on that. Not so I could get on the stage and dance, but perhaps at home behind the doors. I have always wanted to dance. It’s good exer cise I think. Mr. Stone is better now after another attack last week. Mrs. H. A. Hodge is in Mary Elizabeth Hospital with several heart attacks. She is very sick now, and we hope she will soon be better. We are sorry Mrs. P. P. Pace fell and hurt her knee. It’s bad to have to hop for I know. I have been hopping with a sprained ank le myself for quite a while. The old proverb saying is we always lose the big fish and it’s true for I lost the largest white perch last week I have ever seen or heard of. I broke him down and got him to the boat and when we started to take him in he flip ped off and lay on the top of the water like dead until he sank down out of sight. He had moss on his back. He must have been the old granddad. I wish I did know VOTE FOR William T. Hatch FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES WAKE COUNTY Subject Democratic Primary May 29 9 WENDELLTHEATRE Sunday Shows 3 & 9 P. M. We were glad to have a good number at church Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Exom Chamblee were there. We were glad to have them come. We had a good ser mon. Come out next Sunday. We need you to worship with us. A good number of the Wakefield folks attended the wedding last Saturday morning at the Zebulon Baptist Church of one of our old Wakefield girls, Miss Helen Bunn. It was a beautiful wedding. Ev erything was decorated so pret tily. They are on their honeymoon to parts unknown. We wish them many happy years together. “And thou shalt be secure, be cause there is hope. Yea, thou shalt dig about thee and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.” Job 11:18. A.C.PERRY&CO.
