The Lumber Harvester is a pat ented portable sawmill of welded steel construction which can be towed along the highway at 45 miles an hour. It can be set up be side a farmer’s pile of logs in 1 hour, and dismantled in 30 min utes. It saws good lumber at an average capacity of 1,000 board feet an hour. The economic value of farms; and of farm woodlands has been improved wherever the Lumber Harvesters are in operation throughout the nation. Business men of other communities have j welcomed the machine and the custom sawing service because this combination has improved the value of farms in those communi ties. Managers of retail lumber yards have found that they stimulate building activities and increase sales of finishing lumber, cement, paint, roofing and headware.
