Massey entertained at formal tea, Saturday afternoon at her home in Zebulon, compli menting Miss Dorothy Davis, bride-elect of June; Mrs. Joseph Florence, 111, of Norfolk, Va. and Mrs. Milton Bryant, recent brides. Roses, bowls of mixed summer flowers and gladioli were used to decorate the entire lower floor of the home. Mrs. Wallace Chamblee greeted guests at the door. Mrs. Helen S. Gregory made the presentations to Wie receiving line composed of the "ostess, Miss Dorothy Davis, Miss Lee Davis of Greenville, Joseph Florence, 111, Mrs. Joseph Florence, Sr. of Norfolk, Mrs. Milton Bryant, Mrs. Glynn Dickerson of Bunn, Mrs. Halibur ton Yancey, Mrs. Haywood Jones, Mrs. J. M. Cash, Mrs. Benny L. Perry and Mrs. Harold Pippin. Mrs. R. L. Cathey of Norfolk and Mrs. W. D. Spencer of Raleigh directed guests to the library where Mrs. liardin Hinton pre sented Mr. and Mrs. George J. Griffin, formerly of Zebulon, who have just returned from Edin burgh, Scotland. Mrs. R. H. Brantley invited the guests into the dining room. The tea table was covered with a handmade embroidered net cloth. Sunday, May 30, is Memorial Day, and we hope to decorate the graves of our beloved ones every where. That is the least we can do for them. If it would rain, we would have lots of flowers.
