Page Two Cooking School Said To Be Best Ever Held In CP&L Territory The Cooking School held last Wednesday night at the Whitley Furniture Company, Zebulon, was declared as a huge success. There were many attending from Zebulon and neighboring towns. Mrs. Haliburton Yancey pre sided over the register. Mrs. Nor man M. Screws introduced Miss Cornelia Austin, Home Economist for Carolina Power & Light Com pany, who conducted the Cooking School. Miss Austin demonstrated and cooked two complete meals, one cooked in the oven and one on the surface of the new Frigidaire Range. She also made ice cream and ice box cookies in the Frigid aire Refrigerator. Special awards were made to Miss Syvon Eddins, an electric kitchen clock; to Mrs. Ralph Bunn, a dutch oven of Ever-Ware filled with American Chop Suey, made in the cooking school; and third to Mrs. Carver Seawell, an Ever- Ware Aluminum Sauce Pan. Oth er awards were an Ever-Ware Aluminum roaster to Mrs. S. L. Hagwood of Wendell and a cov ered Ever-Ware Aluminum Sauce Pan to Mrs. A. D. Godwin. A rubber dish drain rack was given Mrs. Lucile Martin, and a pan of school bake ice box cookies to Mrs. A. R. House.
