Mr. Perry Wood returned from Rex Hospital last Tuesdaj'. lie is getting on fair. We are sorry Mrs. Bennie May stays ill. Also Mrs. T. V. Pur year, Jr., and Mrs. A. O. Puryear are under the doctor’s care. Joe Yancey was in bed four days last week. It was doctor’s orders. He is up and out now. Mrs. E. W. Hood spent several last week with her daughter, Pllrs. T. Y. Puryear. A basket dinner w r as served at *Mr. Bertie Carter's Sunday, three birthdays and Father’s Day being combined. In the afternoon string music was enjoyed. Visitors at Mr. T. Y. Puryear’s on Sunday were O. W. Thorn and sons, Charles and Dillard, P. G. King of Varina, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Williford and children of the Bethany section, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carter of Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Puryear of Youngsville, T. Y. Puryear, Jr., A. O. Puryear, and Mr. T. E. Puryear and family. Our sympathy goes to Mrs. Charlie Harris and family of Franklinton in the death of her husband. Mrs. Milton Joyner of Raleigh is spending a few days with her brother, Mr. Burton Gay.
