WAKEFIELD NEWS
We are glad to get the refresh
ing showers the past few days. It
was needed so badly and was
worth millions of dollars to the
people and crops. I hope and pray
they have had rain up around Ral
eigh. By now it is critical.
Well, if we didn’t have compe
tition we wouldn’t be human. We
all work with a will, but if we lose
we also have to be good losers. My
husband used to say he was glad
everybody won’t alike and didn’t
have the same notion. If they had,
they all would have wanted his
wife.
My Grandma used to say it
would all come out right when the
pot was washed. I sincerely hope
they clean things out in the right
way.
Remember what the Bible says.
The last shall be first and the first
shall be last, and that is true. In
last Saturday’s primary with
42,000 to spare. Folks, come on and
be a good loser and remember all
things work together for good to
those that love the Lord. So let’s
fall in line and support our next
Governor Scott with all our heart
and soul and make this state and
world a better place to live.
Be careful what you sow for you
will surely reap in due season.
Why not go back to the Golden
Rule we had in olden time: Do

unto others as you would have
them do unto you.
Forget the one a lot of people
are using today: Do the other fel
low before he does you.
We can live here on earth awhile
with it but it won’t do to die with.
I am thinking about the Heavenly
Home and the hereafter. We have
all got to pay that debt sooner or
later and I say be ye also ready
for we know not the day nor the
hour the Lord shall call ye.
If I have thus done or said any
thing against anyone or hurt any
one in any way, I now ask for
giveness. The Lord says ask and
ye shall receive, seek and you
shall find. Love the Lord and all
things shall be added unto you.
It’s a great promise.
