Tne wonderful show ers of blessings have done worlds of good to all the crops in the sur rounding communities. We should give thanks for the great works of our Lord and Master. The great commandment of our Lord is Honor thy Father and thy Mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord, thy God, giveth thee. We should obey this command for if it had not been for our Fathers and Mothers we wouldn’t be here. A blemish may be removed from a diamond by careful polishing, but evil words cannot be effaced. So bridle your tongue and don’t say things that are bitter and un kind. If you do you will hate it sooner or later. So long, till next time. —Mrs. Vera Rhodes PILOT NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson of Raleigh spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bul lock.
