Friday, August 20, 1948 THIS, THAT, & THE OTHER (Continued from Page 6) was using only one hand on the wheel. On the other side <sf the car a right arm was out exactly like the one we saw first, and the hand held the top of the car. I suppose there were two men on that front seat; but the car turned into a side road before I saw, and I still have the feeling that some large person had both arms wide spread and the automobile was going along as it chose. Out in our yard a pair of robins and a pair of thrashers have just begun thinking of themselves f again after raising their broods. Irhey look dull and bedraggled and "eem half-starved. In contrast the youngsters are dashing all over the place in bright new plumage, paying no attention to their elders except to snatch occasionally at food the old birds have found. It keeps reminding me of something I have seen somewhere before— not birds. PINE RIDGE Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Perry of Texas spent a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Perry.
