Page Four WAKEFIELD I think everyone is through barning tobacco now. We finished last Saturday and have it all worked and ready for market but what is in the barn curing now. Can you beat that? If you can, just let me know about it. I also sold some 1947 tobacco on the opening sale day. The rush is still on. The Garland Faulkners are working day and night getting some ready for sale. It’s a pleasure to me. I just love to shuffle out 20 sticks a day and go sell it, too. And then go fishing to celebrate. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and it makes me a dull gal too. We are sorry to report Mrs. Mamie Kinbell is in Rex Hospital for an operation Thursday. .We hope and pray she will be OK soon. We will miss her greatly while she is gone. We are so glad her son, Smitty, has got home out of service. He has been gone so long. Mr. T. Y. Baker is also in Rex Hospital very sick. We hope he will soon be well again. Mr. Sidney Friedman is much improved. I see him walking about with his little girl. Little Wayne Price has got to go back soon for a checkover. We sincerely hope they won’t find anything bad.
