Friday, September 10, 1948 PLEASANT HILL Mrs. E. C. Pearce of Raleigh spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. K. Horton. Mrs. Joe Carter of Raleigh spent Sunday and Monday with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Y. Puryear. Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Breece of Wilmington spent Monday night with Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Gay. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Phipps of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whitaker of New Jersey were vis itors at Mr. S. T. Whitakers Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Bridges of Raleigh were visitors at Mr. W. B. Gay’s and Mr. J. B. Carter’s Sun day afternoon. Mrs. A. O. Puryear visited Mrs. Almus Weathers Sunday after noon. Mr. Ober Horton spent several days last week in Ashevill. Mrs. W. M. Hood spent the week end in Zebulon with her brother, Mr. Elvis Philips. In spite of the polio we had 84 present for Sunday School. The revival meeting for Hephzibah Church has been postponed till the third week in September. The Rev. Joe Roach, pastor of the church, will preach. Mrs. T. Y. Puryear returned home from New Jersey Wednes day of last week after spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. H. Thanks Again, Neighbor— We like Zebulon more and more. Mrs. W. M. Hood, Mrs. E. W. Hood, and Mrs. C. M. Rhodes spent last Friday p.m. with Mrs. T. Y. Puryear.
