Page Six Mrs. Vera B. Rhodes Tells of Her Cousin's Work With A. Godfrey 1 spent the weekend in Raleigh, and went to the fair Saturday af ternoon and Saturday night. I had the opportunity to visit my uncle, A. A. Richardson, in his new home, and I saw my cousin, Mag retor Mug Richardson. She is Arthur Godfrey’s right hand girl Friday in the radio world. Tiiey put on a show Friday at the Tobacco Festival in Wilson, and came by Raleigh to see her parents a few hours. She was leaving on the 8:30 train for New York Ho be there for the next broadcast. It comes on at 10:30 to 11:30 over Durtiam. It will be worth your while to hear them sometime. I spent the night with Mrs. L. L. Browning, and went to Sunday School and church at the Taber nacle Baptist Church. I heard Dr. Broughton teach the lesson, and also heard a good message from Dr. Mixon, and saw a lot of my old friends I had not seen in a long time. Therefore I don’t know much that happened around here over the weekend. I do know the Wake field Junior Order is giving the Lexington orphan children a bar becue supper Friday, October 29, at the Wakefield Lodge with the wives invited to attend. I would like to know if there is a bachelor or widower (a Junior) who wants some one to go with him. Just let me know! I’ll be the one.
