Friday, December 31,1948 Boys Are Much Too Fast For Girls This Leap Year Well, this leap year is almost over and I don’t believe our bach elor list has decreased much. I wonder if this was due to the speed of the bachelors or the lack of speed of the gals. Oh well, better luck, next time. Did everyone have a Merry Christmas? I hope so. If not, you can say, “Only 51 more weeks till Christmas.” There were only 23 at B. T. U. Sunday night. This was probably due to bad weather, so let’s every body come back next Sunday night. The Christmas program, directed by Mrs. Morgan, was a success. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The program consisted of poems and songs by several of the young people and a pageant of the birth of Christ. An offering was taken for foreign missions. The W. M. S. will meet Saturday. January 8, at the home of Mrs. Iris Temple. Velva and Norma Pearce spent the weekend in Durham with their father. Kenneth Hopkins is at home this week on Christmas vacation. He is a student at Hardbarger’s. Miss Viola Hopkins was also at home for Christmas. Dr. Chas. E. Flowers Physician and Surgeon Office Phone 3311 Residence 3901 Dr. G. S.
