Page Six Wakefield Circle Has Meeting for December The December meeting of Cir cle No. 2 of the Wakefield Bap tist Church m.et with Mrs. Jack Mitchell. During the business ses sion the following officers were elected: Mrs. Harold Green, pres ident; Mrs. Douglas Pace, Ist vice president; Mrs. Roy Joyner, 2nd vice-president; Mrs. Herman Ed dins,, secretary and reporter; Mrs. Berdon Eddins, asst, secretary; Mrs. Raleigh Sherron, treasurer. The president named Mrs. Lio nel Bunn and Mrs. Ray Gainey to serve on community missions and Mrs. Russell Williams to be Mis sion Study chairman. The Circle welcomed Mrs. Aaron Lucas as a new member. Mrs. Herman Eddins was in charge of the program, after which the hostess served a deli cious Christmas plate. Cards of Thanks The family of Mrs. Lucy Hop kins expresses their thanks for the many cards and expressions of love she received during the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Hop kins has been ill for some time. We thank everyone who sent gifts, money and cards to Wayne during the Christmas holidays, and who helped win the electric train for Wayne in the Rexall contest. Your sympathy and understand ing made a joyful Christmas for all of us. B. M. Price and Wayne Edythe Lee Medlin and Charles Horton, Zebulon students who are members of the Wake Forst Col lege band, took part in the elab orate halftime drills at the Dixie Bowl in Birmingham, Alabama, last Saturday. Mrs. F. J. Lombardo has been notif.ed that her son, Albert V. Medlin, Jn, now stationed in Tok yo, Japan, has been promoted to sergeant. Mrs. Maylon Temple is a patient at Rex Hospital.
