Friday, February 11,1949 Personals Mrs. Elvis S. Phillips who has been in Duke Hospital for nearly two weeks, underwent an opera tion Wednesday. Mrs. Lizzie Dean, sister of Mrs. Ruric Gill of Zebulon, is at her home after undergoing an opera tion at Duke Hospital. She is able to receive visitors. Little Eddie Pearce has had tonsilitis this week. Mrs. W. C. Campen is recover ing from an attack of influenza. Mrs. Rodney McNabb underwent an operation at Mary Elizabeth Hospital Tuesday. The Ray Gaineys will move into the Allan Pippin home, recently purchased by the A. D. Antones. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Allman are moving this week into their new home on Gleen Street. Mrs. P. H. Massey is undergoing treatment at Rex Hospital. Mrs. Willard Gill is confined to her home with influenza. Mrs. Gloria Pearce left by plane for Atlanta Saturday night. She will visit friends in Georgia. Mrs. Hazel Brown is visiting her sister, Mrs. Aaron Lowry. The Joseph Temples and Mrs. Robert Phillips will go to Mebane Saturday to visit the parents of Mrs. Temple and Mrs. Phillips. Ferd Davis attended a wreck of the 40 et -8 and a state American Legion committee meeting in High Point during the past week end. Lt. Frankie Hall is visiting her mother, Mrs. Ida Hall. Fred Bunn, Bob Vance Brown, and James Debnam, students at Campbell College, and Rod Horton, student at State College were home during the past weekend. Mrs. Ferd Davis is a patient at Mary Elizabeth Hospital, Raleigh. The Mission Study Classes of Wendell and Zebulon Methodist Churches met at Wendell Sunday afternoon. Rev. Paul Carruth, pastor of both churches gave the devotional. Mrs. Ervin Cothran and Mrs. Davis of Raleigh com- i pleted the study “On Our Own Doorsteps.” The Knightdale ladies were guests also. A very good at tendance from all three churches' was reported.
